Ok, everyone has to see this show, that is the bottom line. Last night I had the pleasure at the House of Blues, great venue and I absolutely loved this show. It was such a good time. I wish you all could have been there. If you have a chance to see them please, please go. You will not be disappointed. Not to spoil it for anyone who has yet to see them but to help those who didn\'t, here are some highlights.

First I have to say to Spencer, I thought of you as this was an all ages show, I thought for sure you would have been down front with the rest of them jumping up and down, fixed on Bucketheads guitar. I tried to get a good look at what Buckethead was using as I promised, but unfortunately where I was standing, which was directly across from him, excellent spot actually, but I couldn\'t see his layout of pedals due to the monitors being in the way. So sorry about that. For all inquiring minds, I am guessing here, but believe that he only had a few pedals, as I never really saw him pressing them much and believe me I was watching him almost the whole time, I couldn\'t help it! He brilliantly did everything on the guitar itself with his hands. It was unbelievable the things that came out of that guitar, it was true Buckehead style, like on recordings, only better because it was all live. He played only one guitar the whole evening, and really it was all he needed. It was white, pretty standard, with several knobs on it. Sorry, wish I were an expert to be more specific for all of you who need to know what he was playing but that is all it was. one other thing I would like to express about his playing, as a women, intently watching this mans long beautiful hands move passionately across his instrument, well, I will just admit it, I became very envious of this Guitar. This performance, not that what I haven\'t heard already hasn\'t made me so, but I am now truly a full fledged Buckethead admirer.

Les Claypool had more pedals and gadgets and masks then Bucket did. His electric Cello that he had was fantastic. And his bass, I love the bass guitar, he is really an outstanding wielder of it, I was in aw. He had another electric thing he banged on that was just awesome, I can\'t believe the instruments they have out now and the sounds they make. It was just a tall electric stick with a bow, like for the Cello and he banged on it. At this time Buckethead came out and did a robot dance wearing a really bad Michael Jackson mask, it was a riot, the crowd went crazy it was so much fun and oh did I mention the monkey mask Les was wearing? I and everyone else was just totally into these two on that stage. And even a chicken from the coop made an appearance (I let you guys figure that one out, use your imagination) But not to leave anyone out, Brain on the drums......drummers are so cool! He is really phenomenal, anyone who can beat on a speaker case and make it sound like a whole set of drums is pretty dam cool by me.  Bernie came out at the beginning and revved everybody up on the keyboard and this awesome organ he played, what a sound. Man he was great the whole night! These guys really rocked. I would definitely see them again without question.
The sound was excellent, all the instruments sung like it was nothing thanks to their great masters playing them and everyone had a really good time. GO SEE THEM!

Ok embarrased here but I have to truthfully answer that question as I have no idea.  
And as newly declared Buckethead and C2B3 admirer, I am ashamed, but my excuse is I have not yet purchased the album to know the names of the songs. Bad me bad me.
Almost all of the songs were instramental so I would have to guess and say yes, they probably did play those that you mentioned and many many more.
Les sang only on a few and the were all just  awesome and I was completely blown away!

So perhaps we can impose upon you and gkg to tell us the names of the songs that they play when you see them?

if you expect me to be coherent by the end of saturday night you are mistaken... i will do my best to remember but i guarantee only one thing - a gigantic grin and lots of dancing.

Well since gkg will have no feet by the end we will have to leave it up to you Chris.  And Chris, fair warning, bring your smoke mask,   I can tell you there will be plenty of that! but don\'t worry it wont impair your listening,hee hee

i\'m sure i WOULD have had a great time, but my sense of duty and work ethic caused me to forego the show.  i had been hellbent on going - but i do have obligations and deadlines and one of them is this coming saturday, and with only weekends and evenings to work in this and several other projects, i had to give it a miss.

Sorry you couldn\'t make it, but don\'t worry to make it up you will get your fill when Travis and the whole gang do their live thing we have all been begging for once T3 is done or sooner! (ok being poisitive here)

Yes I suspect that is why he has been so quiet lately. so shhhhhhh.. quiet... Travis is creating, working his magic.

Awesome stuff. I\'ve heard nothing but good things.  

I did do my usual stand outside of the venue and give buckethead a gift routine, which worked out well.  I told Les I really like the music, and he brought buckethead out to sign my effects stuff.  I saw Bernie and Brain walking around but i didn\'t know what to say to them.  Maybe next time (if there is going to be one).

I also got to watch part of soundcheck until i was kicked out by the club\'s proprietors.  I was kinda upset with the tone they used with my and my mother (that\'s the part that sucks the most), but i guess it\'s their job.

I do however know that the Giant Robot toy I gave Buckethead has been resting on his amp every show afterward, so I guess I\'m there in spirit through that little hunk of vinyl.

Either way, cool report, and thanks for thinking of me.

Awesome Spencer! And you were worried about it....
It turned out great. You got to see him up close and personal and he signed your stuff and he is hanging around with the robot you gave him! That is pretty cool. I would feel pretty special right about now.  
Sorry they kicked you out though, it was just a sound check,but yes that is their job and Chris is right they have to keep the place open or they wouldn\'t have a place for the bands to play. None the less though there is a way to do things and there isnt. Pooey on them for being mean. Never say never, there can always be a next time.
Oh and Chris, I think he was playing the White Les Paul. If you have a copy of PFA there is a picture of Bucket holding a white guitar and I am almost 99 % sure that was the guitar he had when they played here.

You know, I read of events like this and really start to believe I\'m missing out on so much by living on the east coast.
We rarely have access to such fun and exciting venue\'s in my area.
