Also I\'d just like to add my 2¢... I\'ve come to realize that a lot of the people that I respect in this world are what I refer to as "rewarding to be a fan of" and it\'s a rather unquantifiable characteristic. It\'s akin to say, being a Michael Schumacher fan or the like. Someone who just never fails to deliver the goods.

I notice a lot of Zappa fans seem to eventually gravitate towards Bucketheadland, see we are already seasoned "completists" and Frank done left us with an unquenchable thirst for Prolific output, but not strictly for quantity\'s sake, oh no... Buckethead\'s every work is masterful.

I still wonder how he does it. He puts out more good music consistently in a single year than most "artists" put out in their entire career.

I remember reading Douglas Adams\' last book (published posthumously after his untimely demise when they autopsied his mac), The Salmon Of Doubt, and there was a short essay he did basically answering the age-old question "if you could choose which time period you\'d most like to be born into, what would that be?" and his answer was something like that as much as he\'d like to have been born to see Shakespeare or Mozart or something like that, he was certainly happy enough to just keep the hand he was dealt because he got to witness the Beatles revolution first-hand, in real-time. He said he\'d never give that up for anything in the World. Well that\'s precisely the way that I feel.

I feel so honored to be privileged enough to witness the phenomenon that is Buckethead. He is definitely taking playing to new heights. He seems completely unrestricted. His inspiration is limitless it seems. How he manages to always keep it that fresh is just beyond me.

I was first "introduced" to him via PRIMUS\' Internet Infiltration in 1997-ish. Then of course Monsters & Robots completely destroyed my brain. I\'ve never been the same since & I\'ve never looked back.

Truly the most gifted musician of our time. Hands-down.

Love you Buckethead... please play some Canajun dates?
Catch a ride with Silverman.. he likes it here!

Supper & beer is on me!

Travis, looks good. You might want to try this out, it can show you more than you ever wanted to know: http://browsershots.org/

I haven\'t had my SotP for a week and yesterday it was skipping in the car deck, when I took it out there\'s this gigantic and horrible scratch on the disc. Normally I\'m super careful with my CD\'s I just don\'t know what I could have done to ruin this one. I\'m so sad. I tried the old vegetable oil trick but this scratch is beyond fixable. I know that it wasn\'t like that when I got it, I must have done something really stupid with it. Double d\'oh!

It\'s hard enough budgeting to keep up with the new releases but if you have to buy them TWICE it\'s really awful. Note to self: BE MORE CAREFUL DUMBASS!

Holy smokes, my CD came so fast I think that Travis done shipped it before I ordered. Anyone else get one with the jewel case insert upside down? Inside it looks right (butcher up top) but the backside is flipped (bar code at the bottom).

Oh, and btw.. what in the name of sweet Jebus is that guy butchering?! Any theories? Hard to tell when it\'s (I think) headless. Back of the cover looks like he made a dress out of the skin (on a hanger?). Truly messed up.

Another amazing album. I\'m loving the everloving hell out of it. Track 7 - Premonition is just the best. Ever. I was hoping to get my Frankenstein Brothers CD signed by That 1 Guy tonight at the show but it didn\'t get here in time, usually my TDRS stuff gets here fast as lightning. Go figure the one time I need it to get here FAST it gets held up. Oh well there\'s always next time. Made a copy of that Monolith "multiplex" for T1G, hope he likes it!

It\'s OK, I\'m a hunt & pecker too..

Lemme just say.. OMFG! The score for Transformers is one helluva fine piece(s) of music, it\'s damned near as good as watching the movie, maybe even better, it gets my imagination firing on all cylinders. I LOVE this!

Why they wouldn\'t go with Vince for the 2nd one is totally beyond me, change for change\'s sake? How could it be any better? Maybe they just want a different overall "feel" for this one? I dunno. IMHO it\'s a mistake.

Anyways, thanks for the heads-up. I\'ve got a new favorite piece of "housework" music! LOL!! Off to make supper...

I\'ve watched that first Transformers movie so many times, it\'s one of my favorite movies ever. Never paid much mind to the music at all, strange that, but now that I\'m finding out dude is out of the TDRS camp I\'ll have to watch it AGAIN (doncha hate it when THAT happens?!) just to pay special attention to the score. I think I could handle that. Mission accepted.

The new track sounds great, they\'d be nuts not to use it. I\'m just assuming that was a type-o and that it\'s bound not bond - yes the .mp3 has it right. That\'s a MIGHTY song for sure. It just needs a little bucket noodling.... oh well, too late for that.

The mask looks so small on him. He must be thinking "Damn! People are little!" but I\'m sure it\'s not the first time he feels that, most doors and seats etc. My 2¢ would be that it IS meant to be a shout out to Big B only when is there ever a KFC bucket just laying around. Shoulda splurged on a snack for the occasion, I can hear Shaq now: "What do you mean there\'s no Kentucky Fried Chicken stores around here?!"

Either that or he said "I ain\'t doin\' no dancin\'" and Buckethead said to him "Hey no worries bro.. just use one of these!"

Thank you nuff_said! Funny when I used the Search feature it didn\'t return jack-squat, kind of useless to have a non-working search tool, huh? Thanks again, this was exactly what I was looking for, looks like maybe we are all on to something. Very cool.

I didn\'t see this anywhere else so I\'ll put it here. I\'m going to try my best to see if I can figure out if it\'s true or not. Rumor has it that Monolith is meant to be played all 5 discs simultaneously, how this can be done without having 5 physical CD players is beyond me. I\'m going to try to play 5 files at once on my PC, see if I can make that work. There must be some way to do that.

I found out about this weirdness at the wikipedia page here.

Has anybody else heard this theory? Has anyone actually tried to do this?
Interesting idea, to say the least. I\'ll be sure to post my results either way.

I guess you could paste the 5 files overtop of each other in an audio editor and output the "mix" as a single track, that might be the best way to do it.

Who knows, maybe it\'s all bullshit.

CUT TO....

That was easier than I thought it would be. I downloaded this program and output all 5 files to one "mixed" track.

On first listen I\'d have to say that it does seem to be the way they were meant to be heard, sounds like they fit together perfectly like puzzle pieces. I doubt that this could just be a weird coincidence.

I would urge all of you hardcore bots out there to try this for yourself and report back here your findings.

If pressed to answer if I thought that this was how "it was supposed to be" I\'d probably have to answer yes at this point. I rather like this Frankenstein\'d version. Maybe this is a prime example of the whole being greater than the sum of it\'s parts?

The Monolith Multiplex.
