Got mine today.  Can't wait to listen to it.  I missed the bit about the signed poster, so getting that was a very pleasant surprise.  Thanks Travis!  You rock as usual.

As for getting them to release a cd of the music, let\'s all write in and let our wants/needs be known!  Write to:

Maybe if they get enough emails they will put it out!

No, he didn\'t pay me.  :)  He was kind enough to let me purchase it early (or tired of my bugging him about it), and I told him I would let people know about it.  I just copied and pasted the review to different mbs.  I can only imagine how hard it is for an independant artist to get the word out with no US distribution.  Of course, if I hadn\'t have liked the disc, things might be a little different  ;D.

Just letting you all know that the long delayed Meridiem disc is now available for purchase.  Go to www.percyhoward.com for more info.  Here is a quick review:
This is going to be a hard disc to review (especially on only 1 listen.  Definitley a multiple listen experience).  I have been fascinated by it since I put it in.  I don\'t think I can catagorize it in the fashion of "it is similar to", because I don\'t think I own anything quite like it.  There is a note on the back of the sleeve (the disc is in a cardboard sleeve only, no case or digipak, though it does have a 1-sided insert inside with thanks and ASCAP info) that reads "listen to this recording as if you were watching a film".  As strange as that may seem, I think it fits perfectly.  Each song is unique, but all fit together very well as a roadmap of the heart.  There are a lot of "easy" drifting etherial pieces, but there are also some nice jazz-blues rockers.  Percy\'s site said that Buckethead is on 4 tracks, but like most albums where he is just a "player" it can be hard to pick him out.  Especially with Vernon Reid also on this bad-boy.  Don\'t fear, one track (at least) has tons of shredding and kill-switch action!  This is a "must have" for any fan of Anton Fier - Dreamspeed/Material - Hallucinatation Engine/ Shin Terai /  Laswell - Points of Order.
That being said, I would describe this album as if Material was the live band for Lovage with some Pink Floyd - Echos mixed in on top of some Michael McDonald crossed with Art Neville male vocals and some nice sultry low-end alto female voices.  Make any sense?  That\'s OK.  You have to hear it for yourself.  I give it 4/5.

Just got it today and...Wow!  You guys hit another home run!  Thanks Travis!

Quotei\'ve never heard that. a trtibute to the Cornbugs! hell yeah. is it good?
go to :

and download the whole thing.

Well, not really.  But Paul Partain, Ed Neal, Marilyn Burns and Choptop all appear on the Dead Puppy tribute to Cornbugs cd.  They are even all on different songs.

It is chock full of super heavy riffs.  Not a lot of "shredding" solos, but the riffage is non-stop.  Some cool "classical" solos though.  My buddy aquabot puts it right up there with NTT.  It is the Buckethead album he has been waiting for for years.  I listened to it non-stop for about 5 days.  It just got better every time!  It is hard to describe though.  Bermuda Triangle comes to mind as a comparison, but it is really nothing like that one either.  Just buy it.  You won\'t be disappointed.  Awesome wedge.

I think (correct me if I\'m wrong) that when Travis talks of cd-rs in this capacity, he isn\'t talking about burning one in his office and mailing it to you, but rather on-demand cd-rs from one of numerous companies out there that provide this service.  If this is the case, you WILL NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE unless you happen to notice the letters "CD-R" in the matrix code area on the underside of the cd.  These on-demand cd-rs are pretty high quality stuff.  They come with in jewel cases with the inserts just like anything else and the cd-rs can be printed on top to pretty much match the originals as well.  They might not even read "cd-r" on the bottom.  Kind of like the NTTs from Singapore...

@Raw Ketchup - In the digital world there is no quality degradation from copy to copy.  This is nothing like cassette and VHS tapes.  Ones and zeros are the same ones and zeros regardless of how many times it has been copied...  The only quality loss is when transcoding from cd-audio to mp3 (and any other subsequent transcoding) for example.
