Author Topic: buckethead art project  (Read 853 times)

i am planning a buckethead art project. the basic gist of which is a wall of bucketheads.  it\'s not fully fleshed out yet, but when it\'s done i will post pictures. my question is this. does anyone have any tips on where i can find bulk, cheap, face masks? what about black wigs? and where can i find that funeral tape stuff?  i work at kfc so the buckets are not a problem.
any ideas?
thanks

that\'s got to be an interesting and somewhat conflicting situation to work at KFC and be a Buckethead fan.  hehe.

the Halloween shops will be opening soon, so you might find some cool stuff for your project then.  otherwise, online and costume shops would be good places to start.

Truth:  it's OK if they don't understand.  if you follow it, stay true to it, and respect it, you could be in store for the greatest journey you could ever imagine.

Sounds like a neat-o project...the funeral stickers may be the trickiest to find...i found them a cafe-express a couple years ago but the vendor no longer exists...
Here is the authentic funeral stickers...box of a 1000  :o
http://www.cpmbags.com/f_item_display/fso_2.html

I imagine you\'d need to contact them...no online order form.  :-/

A tip: if ya search online for the masks...search white MALE mask...narrows it down a bunch...a long curly wig outta be easy enough to find...

Good luck with you\'re art project! Have FUN! and be sure to post a pic when youz done!  :D

BIG HUGZ!  ;D

thanks a lot for the info on funeral stickers. i was having a hard time finding them. i found the masks for cheap. i don\'t yet know how much the funeral stickers are going to be, they come in a box of 1000 though so i hope not too much.  i have been able to find the wigs, but a lot of what i find are real wigs, cost too much. halloween wigs are more reasonably priced, but at $18 each it will cost a lot for my project. i\'m looking for a much more wholesale cost. or even the kind of hair that is a hat with hair coming off the sides. since i will be only using the sides anyways.  i\'ve been looking into bulk doll hair, that sort of thing.
if anyone else can help please do.
and again, thanks a million for the info on the funeral stickers zq, you tha bomb!

:) Happy to hep..I like diggin up stuff!   ;)
Craft Doll hair sounds like it would be the way to go...
I didn\'t read how long the strands are in this package...but says ya can make a mane with it...so I\'m figuring it must be long? Hope. You can probably find it local as well...at a craft store.

Hey glassblojo - if you end up buying 1000 funeral stickers and that\'s too many for your project, I\'ll take 100 off your hands provided the price is right, pm me if want....  or I\'m sure you can sell the extras to some other bots or on eBay.

I find a solid vocabulary of swear words very handy when doing arts & crafts.

I was recently working on part of a project that I put together,  took apart, and put half way together again before I realized it sucked.  But it worked out because I got a better idea.  I like to let the art participate in it\'s own creation.

i was actually thinking that the 1000 would be way too many for me. i was thinking i could try to sell them on e-bay stuck on a kfc bucket for $1.00 each. but if you guys want to get in on it  does .25 cents each sound like a fair price for fellow bucketbots?

Is it the old-style KFC bucket? or one of the new ad filled ones?
Respect.
