Damn, I\'m so excited about my new acoustic. I wasn\'t even planning on buying one today until i started to play a Takamine G Series and i fell in love with it. The Sound was just warm right up with a Taylor in my opinion.
This i thought was a great buy. It was $188 before tax and About $201 after tax. The guy at Guitar Center told me it had a factory lifetime warranty on it. The reason it was so cheap was it has this what i would call a minor ship in the body, i actually didnt notice it until he pointed it out. you can see it in this picture, its right up against the neck where it meets the body.

I asked the guy how that happened, like use and abused or factory mishap or what. He said it could have been a factory mishap of they might have ran out of humidifier in the acoustic room.
Long story short its got me kinda worried about it worsening over time. It also has a small little crack here too.

Over all i think it was a great buy, sounded great, action was ace perfect, and the price was just to good to pass up.
Which leads me to a question. Should i worry about buying a humidifier to help keep the guitar in good shape? I had an old cheapo acoustic that was bought at best buy and i didnt even think to do anything like this to that one. but it was cheap though so it want like the perfect guitar.
If so what should i look into buying for my Takamine?
I did look at some humidifiers that you put inside the body of the guitar and i thought that was a bit too excessive, since its going to be sitting on a stand when not in use until i buy a case for it. Im not planning on any gigs so its mainly going to stay in my room.
any advice would be great.
thanks!
