New Board

Due to all the mass spamming on the old board I have installed this one. For the time being guests will be allowed to post. I\'m not a big fan of having to register or having a moderated board  where posts are delayed for review so we will see how it goes. There were around 2000 posts to the old board and I have kept those in a read only archive. You will find a link to it on the front page of this forum. If you were in the middle of a discussion on the old board you would like to continue here, just paste the body of the old post here or link to it and we will try to continue the subject.

I\'ve been visiting the boards and website for awhile now, as I\'m a fan of some of the projects represented on the website. I don\'t think I\'ve ever posted, however, since I don\'t have much to say. I just wanted to compliment the new boards, it looks very nice, organized and professional.

Thanks Greg, it was either this or a Fong board, but this software has gotten pretty good over the last revisions.
Bucketbot, the trouble with the old board was it was based on Matts Scrpts WWWboard, a famous magnet for robot spammers. The worst was a Russian based child porn spammer that dropped links all over the board to the most repulsive stuff you can imagine, may they rot in hell. By the end not only was I using the Admin tools to erase posts but I was having to hand edit those links from between words in the text of older posts where it had been hidden by the spammers. The fact that you asked means I was keeping up with them, but just. The old board was also getting to big and hard to load so it seemed like a good time to change. This software is very customizable, if anyone has suggestion for how they would like it to be configured, let me know.
