I would definitely buy a Blueprints CD, especially if it were remastered. An odds and ends CD sounds great too! I am all for new material.

WHAT! I\'m a little bit confused here as to how many CD\'s have been ordered... Yesterday it said 21, and then I ordered one, and today it says 19? Is this accurate or is there any way of getting an accurate reading on this?

Travis

Still says 21 on my browser. It\'s possible you opened a cached page. Check the date with the number. I\'ll be updating the numbers this afternoon.

So if I order this, my card isn\'t charged until its made/shipped right?

Your card will be charged a day or so after you make the order, that\'s usually what happens for me anyways. It isn\'t charged immediately, but it\'s charged a little while later, and that goes for pre-orders such as this one as well. So, even though it won\'t be shipped until when it is, you still have to pay when you order it.

QuoteIdeas for other pressing might include a re-mastered official version of Blueprints and possibly a CD of odds and ends and I can look into some of the other things we don\'t have control over like Slaughter house and a few others. Nothing though is a done deal.

Travis do you know when Blueprints was made?  Some people claim 1991 and others claim 1994.  So far 39 people have said they preorder Blueprints over at TK.

Hmm, I think it was closer to 91 but I\'m not 100 percent sure. Blueprints will be a good candidate then.

Just throwing in a quick question here. You mentioned earlier in this post (as shown in bolds here) that you could possibly look into stuff like Slaughterhouse (I\'m guessing that\'s Somewhere over the Slaughterhouse, am I right?) to possibly get the rights to re-press those as well.

Well, my question is: if things work out with the CSS re-pressings here and you might be able to re-press other things, is it possible that albums such as Day of the Robot and Bermuda Triangle could be looked into as well? They are two Buckethead albums I\'ve been trying to get my hands on for a while now, and they are nearly impossible to locate on Ebay, and if they show up they end up costing a fortune. Same thing if you look on say Amazon, they are either unavailable or cost a small fortune.

Just wondering what the status are on those two, I don\'t know how rights for re-pressings work or anything, but it would be really cool if it could somehow be done.

QuoteNow, now, let\'s not be a glass half empty kind of guy. That\'s why this is a bit of an experiment. Let\'s see what happens.

Hi Travis,

wow. I though Buckethead\'s fanbase was way bigger. I am surprised there are only about 40 requests for Blueprints so far...  Just curious, how many CCSs were printed initially? What about Inbred, Elephant Man and Chicken Noodels? I have not got those yet. Do you think they may run out soon?

I second that question.  Im not sure what goes into aquiring rights and whatnot, but that would be sweet if we could get those albums repressed.

To the best of my knowledge thats out of Travis\'s hands. But I could be wrong. It has been brought up many times by many people, But Slaughter house\'s label is no more if I remember correctly so I think its pretty hard to get that repressed.

What happens to the rights of an album when label dies out?  Somebody has to own them I assume.  You would think a if a label dies out they would want to sell the rights to the album if possible to make some $$$.  Does Catalyst still exist?  They made Bermuda Triangle and El Stew - The Rehearsal and maybe other BH albums.

Well the number is up to 46 and growing each day.  Its impressive when you factor in that only includes people who went to TK over the past few days and clicked on that thread.  There is a ton BH fans that do not visit that website or any BH message board for that matter.

Most of  these CD\'s are pressed in short runs. Some have been repressed and some not. This is a numbers game, what is the demand. The reason records go out of print and record companies go out of business is lack of demand. That may not be the artists fault but more of a failure to connect the supplier with the audience for it. Thats why I\'m trying to gauge demand by selling pre-orders for Slunk. Also we are trying to make it known that there is a place to get these CD\'s, Bucketheadstoystore.net, Buckethead.biz and tdrsmusic.com. I\'m going to make every effort to get as many things under one roof at normal CD prices as I can. There may be ways to get some of this stuff repressed. A lot of this will depend on the demand and getting those that don\'t know how, to find us. As far as the records I made, Thanatopsis and Chicken Noodles, Gorgone etc, I\'ll keep those in print.

Also remember it\'s easier to push the button on a poll then on a buy button. That\'s why I\'m taking money in advance of the sale. Let\'s see what\'s  real. That money will go directly to the repressing. Also I\'ve been asked what if we get close but not quite to 100. That will depend on how fast we get close, if I see the trend positively I will be inclined to go ahead and repress.

This is a giant experiment, always was since I first started this site.  If this goes well there are lot\'s of things that might happen, your feedback helps.
