Create your own Buckethead album

In Search Of The

This is a twist on a common internet game which always brings up interesting results.

Is there an album you always wished Bucket would have made? Super Diorama Theater and Plays Disney aside, there must be something you still have hope for. I see it a lot on the board; "I want another album like ___________ or ____________". Now's your chance to share with us what it would look like to you, and maybe even tell us a little bit about what it would sound like. Go mad with it. Invent song titles that have typical Bucket all over them.

Here's mine.

"From The Nest" is an instrumental concept album similar in style and theme to Inbred Mountain. It tells the story of Buckethead's tortured upbringing in the way only Buckethead can tell it. Just when you're lulled into a gentle pace of content in Buckethead's childhood you're thrown into a terrifying pit of guitar gymnastics, pinch harmonics and palm muted playing that has you nodding your head, confusing even the most experienced of air instrumentalists.

TRACKLIST:

1. Mother Hen
2. Plucked From The Nest
3. Origins Of A Slunk
4. Another Bad Egg
5. Death Of A Farmer
6. Destroy The Cages
7. Million Chicken March
8. Rooster Revolution
9. Meeting Bootsy
10. The Path To A New Life
11. I Still Love My Parents

Track 9 would be a highlight and lifts the mood slightly. After freeing himself and his brothers from the oppressive coop, Buckethead meets Bootsy and lays down a funky jam with dueling guitars and bass, featuring a cameo from Bootsy himself. Think Soothsayer, but with lashings of bass.

The last track is a reprise of the classic "I Love My Parents". A guaranteed tear-jerker.

Mine is called "It's Dead"! It's like a mix of Empty Space, The Shores of Molokai, and Cuckoo Clocks of Hell...a mix of heavy, experimental, funk, melodies, and cool electronic beats!

1. Slab Dimensions
2. Droid Hunter
3. Atomic Slunk
4. A Bucket of Bones
5. The Ballad of Big D - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA8ZwOjA_uY
6. Decapitation Drop - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeZQn-ia150
7. Severed Heads
8. Doomsayer
9. Help! Help! Help!
10. Black Sabbath
11. The Embalmer
12. What Mask?
13. You Can't Kill What's Already Dead

I can't decide on which songs will be which style, but hopefully you can get an idea of what they sound like if they actually were on an album. And I added a few of the tour songs because I really want them on an album!  :)

"The many faces of Buckethead"

1. Intro (mellow guitar with electronic atmosphere)
2. Bloodshot (riff heavy with a super fast solo, Monty involved too)
3. Barf bag (song with Maximum Bob)
4. Bottomless Pit (DCK influence also an intro to track 5)
5. The Tesseract (with Travis... upbeat... with themes from track 4)
6. Dragon Piss (powermetal influence with no vocals... heavy on solos)
7. A True American Death March (insane noodling with Mix Master Mike)
8. Sharpen the Blade (with Extrakd... a very electronic sounding song)
9. Chop at the bit (another song with Max Bob and Monty)
10. Beware the Moon (mellow song with a very intense metal ending... extra long song)

This idea seems the most genuinely like an album Buckethead would do. Only thing is, if he's gonna do a Bucketheadland III, there'd have to be one track that is 8:16 in length like there was in both albums. I think Skyway Through the Anti-Matterhorn or You Cannot Be Found sounds seems like the one I could imagine being that long. Also, BHL2 focused entirely on the Slaughter Zone, so judging by the cover and most of the song titles, I assume this one could focus entirely on the Graveyard. (BTW, the ablum title looks like the same font as Electric Sea)

^^ X, I was going to say the same thing! It's like a tradition for Bucketheadland albums  ;)

mlgudead, at first when I was making my "dream" album, I was thinking that song wouldn't be fit for it. But now that you bring it up, now I'm thinking it could either be "A Bucket of Bones" or "What Mask?"
