Hey all, Has anyone heard of or listened to KinZaZa?

http://www.kinzaza.com/kinzaza/index.html

This is really a fantastic musical experience, I highly recommend it!! I picked up the cd at Tower about a year ago after only listening to a few tracks on the listening station. It is filed under new age or world music, the title of the genre is changed all the time, but  to me it\'s just plain music. I love it. It is beyond the norm and just under experimental. If you like things along the lines of Enigma or Aria, anything that is different, you will like it. Check it out, tell me what you think.

Oh I forgot, the site does let you listen to snidbits of the songs and there are videos too.....The album is a two disc set one is the DVD of the videos.

Dang, can\'t access the songs, even with my pop-up blocker turned off. Anyone got any suggestions?

D.O.D

I often made the profound statement that art did not need the support of dialog, then I spent hours in dialog trying to explain what I meant. And even more hours trying to explain what art is.  Folly!  DOD

D.O.D  Folly indeed. If one should have to attempt that much time to explain Art and what Art is, the party on the other end was probably never inclined to understand it anyway. Sad yes, but I have faith though that maybe they will find Art in their own way.

oldfolkie - have you checked your setting for cookies?  you may have it blocked that way even though you have the pop-up released.  just a thought.

D.O.D. - my partner tells me "never explain" but i have a hard time with that.  seeing someone struggling to understand why i have painted a serious situation in childlike illustration (as in American President Puppet) leads me to walk them through the symbolism etc. and i find that usually they suddenly realize they had a more rigid mindset on art than they thought.  my view in a nutshell is: if art is a subjective and personal reaction to stimulae, the viewing (listening, experiencing) and perception of art is even more.
Peace.

Thanks for the suggestion, gkg. I only have it set on "medium" but might just try lowering it for that site & then put it back up.

I never ask Art to explain himself to me, but computers are a whole other thang... :P

Expecting to get in & hear the songs eventually!  ;)

ETA: Eureka! It was my Ad-Aware. Had to switch it off temporarily. Now I know.  ::)  And now I can whole-heartedly agree that the mood-space of this group is right up my alley. Ever since Steeleye Span I\'ve been interested to see where different people would take the folk process next. The techno surge gives it an interesting flavour.

by the way, you know you can keep your settings for cookies in general but allow cookies from specific sites - right?  send me an email if you need more clarification and i can give you step by step if you need.  super easy.
Peace.

The discription of The river (inside the cover) is this.. "two shores of the river ...Shore of Life and shore of death and the intricacies of crossing the stream in between" The rest of the album is about that journey, a guide and meeting those who have crossed before you. However you never get there "the boarders are transparent yet impenetrable" in the end as you are taken back from this aquarium look you remember nothing but can\'t wait to go back.
I hope it was ok to share these artists on this forum, this really is an awsome concept and just excellent music. Thanks! ;)
