2) Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock (bucket funk)
3) The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell (big b going apeshit on his axe)
4) Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot (the evil pepper\'s ghost)

Jamie

5 albums currently available from TDRS that would be a great start:

The Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock
Inbred Mountain
Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot
Crime Slunk Scene
A Real Diamond in the Rough

Alex R

Electric Tears - (Miles ahead of #2)
Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock
Population Override
A Real Diamond in the Rough
Enter the Chicken - (A controversial choice, some don\'t like it)
(or Dawn of the Deli Creeps instead of EtC if that\'s allowed)
Dental records don't lie,
Buried deep stays buried still...

I wish Buckethead would come to the UK.

I must say I\'m a bit surprised that no one mentioned Bucketheadland 2.

Here\'s my Top 5 (in no particular order)

A Real Diamond in The Rough
Buckeheadland 2
Happy Holidays LE (Untitled)
Giant Robot
Crime Slunk Scene

Favorite Collaboration:
Travis Dickerson - Iconography

Kale

My top-5

Praxis - Transmutation (First BH-related album I ever heard. Awesome stuff, especially Animal Behaviour and The Interworld And The New Innocence.)

BH - Giant Robot (1994, Sony Japan; one of his most varied albums, I for one love the variety.)

BH - The Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock (I think this is the most solid album of his \'recent\' releases; some may have more outstanding tracks but this is the most consistent as a whole.)

Guns n\' Roses - Chinese Democracy (I love BH\'s work on this + the whole album\'s pretty awesome. Never was a GnR fan before (or after BH, lol), but this shit is great.)

BH - In Search Of The... (Well, this definitely has variety in it... and lots of it.)

Agreeeeed!!!!!!  That\'s a kick-ass list! It has all of the essential buckethead. If it was 6, I would add giant robot ntt. But as of now, giant robot is a free download. I highly recomend you make an extra purchase or donation to bucket if you download it though...
Joe!!!! Could you fix me a ham and cheese sandwich?!!! Joe!!!! I want some butter for my chips!!!! Joe!!!!

Alex R

I might have to add Chicken Noodles to my list.
I got it in the holiday bundle... It\'s incredible. And it\'s signed by Travis! ;D

QuoteHey guys! I\'m a new poster to the forums but have been a lurker for a long time.

I\'m working on building my BH collection and my friend recently offered to purchase any 5 BH albums for me (as repayment for some work I\'d done for him.)

Because I am a college student with no income, my current collection is tiny. Right now I own Captain EO\'s Voyage, Electric Tears, Colma, Enter the Chicken, Monster\'s and Robots, Dawn of the Deli Creeps, and the new Untitled "Holiday LE." (oh, and an awesome BH t-shirt - thanks PawnBot!)

My question for you is, aside from what I currently own, what would you chose as the top 5, must-have BH/BH featured albums?

Elephant Mans Alarm Clock (Lurker at the Threshold alone makes this essential)

Giant Robot (Has start of BH\'s mythology)

Ocatve of the Holy Innocents (Jonas Hellborg) (Great Acoustic shred)

Population Overide

Transmutation: Mutatis/Mutandis (Praxis)
Eye Feel Fine(d)
I Feel Find
I Fell, Fin.

Giant Robot
Praxis - Transmutation
Shin Terai - Unison
Colma
Cobra Strike (1 & 2)

Jonah

Welcome fellow new member!

My picks are:
1. Pepper\'s Ghost
2. Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot
3. Elephant Man\'s Alarm Clock
4. Albino Slug
5. Crime Slunk Scene

Looks like there\'s lots of love in particular for Elephant Man, Giant Robot, Tomb of Bansheebot, Inbred Mt. and Crime Slunk Scene.
All awesome albums, you can\'t really go wrong with any of them.

Whale_On_This

ok.
so here is what you do.
Type out all the albums onto a word document.
Print document
Cut document into single album slivers
Put all slivers into hat (or bucket)
Extract 5

Presto-chango, done.

Thanks to Duckhead my Buckethead collection just got a little bigger!

He graciously gifted me a copy of Giant Robot and some other recording from the In Search Of cd set (also he packaged it all up with an awesome note and some amazing Dr. Seuss stickers.) KICK ASS!

Thank you Duckhead!

Oh, and, PawnBot, that is the shirt you sent me - I live in it!

I can\'t thank you all enough.

I get to pick my first "pay-back" CD from my friend by the end of the month. I still haven\'t decided which to ask for first.

:)
