Well it was a really good night followed by a rough morning after....but anyway

It was the same band as the first show of this tour. They really tore it up.  :D Got to love that.

It looked to me like Bh was using a studio model of his Les Paul, at least from where I was standing. And he used the coil tap on a lot of the songs getting a really great single coil sound out of his LP and Marshalls.

I don\'t know if i can pull together a setlist from my videos that I shot. I hope the they turned out okay. If they did I will post some on my youtube page as I get the time. There is a link under my name to the left.

Bucketheadpikes #1 was the only thing at the merch table. And no Jordan or Jowls this time either. Lots of jamming and more interplay between Bucket and the Brewer than I remember before. I\'ll try and piece together something more coherent later, need to get some sleep.

In Search Of The

Good to hear you had a good time though pal. Surprised at the lack of Jordan and Jowls (Pinchy\'s vocals would have made that track) but it\'s nice to see he\'s got the band back and he\'s experimenting a bit more.

I love Buckethead but I am getting tired of always hearing the same songs.  I have been going to shows for well over a decade now and the setlist has been basically the same during that whole time.  It is time for Buckethead to start incorporating some of his new stuff in his live shows.

QuoteNo,

Here is the setlist

Oh good, one less thing to worry about.

If I remember right F# is pretty much "Revenge of the Doubleman."

I don\'t think any fan ought to be too concerned about the song selections. Each tune is opened up and splayed out with plenty of nubbin\' etc...

Methinks all the youtubing makes people jaded and can really spoil the surprises a lot of the time. I\'m glad its there, though. Just a notion.

Screw that. If ya dont like it dont go, cause i get tired of hearing the same bitching over and over. I\'ve seen BH 10 times and had an ecstatic grin on my face each time.

I thought the show was awesome, though I\'m small and didn\'t get close enough to see as well as I\'d have liked.
But "Want Some Slaw?" is all it takes to make me happy.

siege engine is sorta new.. at least new for this lineup. thatd be cool to see.

i feel like last tour he was able to incorporate more newer songs cuz he didnt have to worry whether the band knew the songs. but id still like to see a few more new songs this tour..

but like he said^ whtever is cool. but ill miss asylum of glass

I wish he would play Nottingham Lace, Binge and Grab, or Computer Master, or even tear it up on the banjo at some of his shows this year...but I dont think he will. Seeing the videos from the past two shows are really getting me excited for the show in Foxborough...it\'ll be my first Buckethead show!!  ;D

Quitness

Good show, indeed.
Drove from Ohio for my eleventh live Buckethead experience and was not let down. Final Wars was worth the trip alone! Good times. Cheers to B\' and the boys.

Totally agree with your take on youtube, stumpdangler. I completely avoided the videos from Minnesota before attending the Beaumont show. Think I\'ll go watch em\'  now.

  Can\'t wait for Nelson Ledges!

I just added Whitewash/Buckethead\'s Toystore for anyone interested.  I think there is a quote of This is Halloween in between.

Typical handheld camera/audience shot disclaimer applies.

Thanks for getting within driving distance again, Buckethead!

Great show!

Well if you get tired of it then no one should ever express their opinion because you are, after all, the most important person in the world and everything anyone does should be done with the thought of pleasing you.

Regardless, I was hardly "bitching."  I was expressing my opinion that he should mix up the setlist more.  He has hundreds of songs that he could play live that he never does.  I am not going to apologize for wishing to hear them and expressing that wish.  And if you hear this opinion all the time maybe it is because it has some merit.

Oh, and I have gone to more than 10 shows and enjoyed them all immensely.  That doesn\'t mean the shows couldn\'t be improved by a few different songs.  The shows are largely the same as they were a decade ago.  Given how many songs he has released since then I think that is disappointing.  If you don\'t like that opinion you can always not come to this board.

Actually, you did not state it as a wish. it was more like a complaint and a demand. That\'s what bugs me. Your free to express your opinion anywhere and anytime you want, unles of course you expect noone with their own opinion to respond and counter. You are not free to let drivel fall from your gaping mouth without retort.
Another point I\'d like to counter is that the shows are the same. Of the 10 I\'ve been to the set list has never been exactly repeated, and I have seen a ton of variety in what he chooses to play and how. As for not coming to this board, not gonna happen. I was here first. You can stop coming if you cant take a little critism. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have not had the pleasure of seeing BH even once, and you have the gaul to complain and ask for more when as you said you\'ve seen him more then 10 times.

Explain to me how that is drivel.  None of it is false and none of it is offensive unless you are extremely sensative to anything that could possibly be taken as a criticism of Buckethead.

What is drivel is you acting like me being able to go to shows over the years is some blessing from Buckethead.  It wasn\'t an accident or a blessing from Buckethead that allowed me to see the shows;  I paid for the tickets.  It is too bad that others have not been able to go to shows but has nothing to do with me wanting to see something different at one of the shows.  His performances have gotten better over the years but his setlist has not greatly changed.  You say that you have never seen the exact same setlist, but I have never seen one that is more than 25% different.  There are probably 30 or fewer tacks that I could list from which over 75% of the setlist will come.  For an artist with over a thousand tracks that is very limited.  I\'d like to see some of the other tracks make it into the show.  I understand that a lot of what he releases on CD cannot be done adequately live, but there are still a ton of tracks he could do that he never does.  I\'d like to see some of them.

The comment about you not coming to the board was in response to your "don\'t go if you don\'t like it" statement.  The same holds for not liking my opinions.  Don\'t come here if you don\'t like them.  If you don\'t like this response, then maybe you should re-examine yours.

Honestly, you sound like a child who feels threatened when anyone states anything that could possibly be taken as negative about Buckethead.  Rest assured, I am not challenging him.  I love his music and greatly appreciate what he does for the fans.  Again, I would simply like to hear more of his music than he seems willing to do live.  I do not see why this is such an offensive position to you.
