You are, no doubt, THE man!

(understood - in regards to your other points, and thanks for replying)

Hey Travis,

I see you\'ve been a very busy man lately and I\'m sure that\'s good stuff.

You have Vince and DeathCubeK available for download on a paying basis.  Do you know when and which titles will be available for purchase via download?  I know those files consume a ton of bandwidth, however, it\'s a super-efficient process and I\'ve already bought and downloaded the two current titles.

Maybe if the cost is too (or so) high, is it possible to rotate the offerings so more of your catalog can be available?  So just run two offerings at a time for a few weeks and then switch the titles?

Travis and Folks,

I was happy and proud to see a new disc of Population Override available at Borders in Flemington, NJ over the weekend.
Yeah, well, it\'s a little personal and I\'m sure no one really cares, but um, PO turns my girl on in a major way when we play it in the bedroom.  Thanks Travis.  My girlfriend has been playing classical piano for eight years now and she\'s dazzled and shall we say, moved, by the work on this album.  It rocks.  We both have an intense love for music, but our tastes are on the opposite sides of the spectrum.  It\'s cool that we both have an album we can appreciate together!  This album is subdued in parts and unrestrained in others.  Peaks and valleys, it\'s wild.  Did I mention the fact that I love this album?

hey the King Crimson DVD, "Eyes Wide Open," is a must-have
I\'m listening to Cuckoo right now and I absolutely love it.  It\'s extremely fast in parts, like machine gun fire.  In other parts it\'s slow and melodic.  I just love anything Buckethead does.  He\'s definitely, without a doubt, my favorite guitarist of all time.  And if it\'s not apparent, Buckethead is like a mad scientist.  He likes to forumlate new ideas, combinations, rhythms in his playing.  Thus, albums like this one.  I like his metal stuff more than the ambient because it\'s faster, there is more technique (like palm-muting) employed, and effects are utilized.  He\'s over and beyond the "norm".

oh, he must mean original artwork and not some corporate sell-out crap
I\'m a tried and true metalhead.  I always will be, however, Buckethead\'s performance on PO was very "tasteful".  He sounds groomed and cultured,  Funk mixed with Blues kind of sound.  That\'s cool and all.  For me, it makes for a super relaxing listen and it\'s an excellent way for me to send people off to the Slaughterhouse for execution.  Bucket\'s best playing is done on his solo albums (where he has occassional guest performers).  Of course, this is all just some stupid metalhead\'s opinion.  But save me the slunk!  I need some headcheese damn it!  I\'m most impressed by pure shredding.

I guess that\'s capitalism at it\'s best, however, I think he\'s no more than a thief by grossly profiting off the labors of another.  Just my opinion.  Plus, you can always say that the buyer ought to know what they\'re talking about/getting involved with before they plunk some greenbacks down...

thanks for the extra pics,  man.  my crappy (free) geocities page only loads half the pictures I posted so I have to redo it tonight.  Plus, apparently my index.htm file was named incorrectly so the link is now:       http://www.geocities.com/hexitt@sbcglobal.net

I\'m sorry I missed his jam with Particle.  They\'re pretty cool, but I\'m totally into Bucket.  And now that I\'ve listened to POPULATION OVERRIDE, I\'m thoroughly convinced that our friend Travis can \'ef it up nice with the keys.  They both sound phenomenal on the override disc.

I went to the show and it was a blast.  Buckethead can shred in a major kind of way.  Well, as for Particle, I stayed for two songs and left so I\'m not sure if he did a jam with them or not.  I wasn\'t willing to sit through their whole set.  Their music doesn\'t do too much for me, but they sounded tight anyway.  Buckethead needs his own tour, headlining, for sure.  I\'m sure he will.  Everyone in line was waiting to see Buckethead!!!  Anyway, he did all kinds of antics like chickens, nunchucks, toys, heads, etc.  The coolest thing, besides his actual playing was the way he moved when he played.  It was so cool, like a ROBOT!  And yes, he\'s thin as can be and stands about 8\' tall, including bucket, that is.  hahahahaha  He\'s amazing.

So here\'s a link to some of the pics from last night\'s show.  I have to apologize for the quality though because I got a few feet from the stage and caught a few people\'s heads.  Yeah and someone needs to buy me a nice digital cam because I had to resort to a shitty disposable, but hey, they\'re better than nothing.  I also bought the hatchet Buckethead t-shirt, and Population Override and the Cornbugs CD\'s.  They\'re all awesome and I\'ll post comments about them in a different topic.  Here\'s the link for the pictures from last night\'s show: http://www.geocities.com/hexitt@sbcglobal.net/hereticalmusic.html
