This has gone fairly smooth so far. One potential problem have been some double submissions by the same persons. I have tried to eliminate double submissions before selection and I will be confirming the invoices against the email list for doubles of shipping address and to validate all the submissions.
I guess what I\'m asking is if you received more than one offer to buy please be kind to those that are still waiting for the next selection and only purchase one.  Better yet if you did get more than one invitation can you please let me know so I can free up the extra copy.

\'C\', check your PM box.

Sorry I\'ve been in the studio all day, I know many are eager to have some info. I\'ll be closing the list at 7:00 pm Pacific time about a half hour from now. Around 8:00 I\'ll email those selected with the link to the order page.
Those that made contributions to the donation page before last Sunday should have gotten your link email already. If you made a contribution to my support page before Sunday the 1st at 7:00 pm and you didn\'t get an email link please email me.
For those that signed the list, if you haven\'t received an email link from me by 10:00 PM pacific time that means you didn\'t get selected. Don\'t give up hope though I am going to open the list back up this Sunday at 7:00 PM till Wednesday at 7:00 and your name will still be on the list for another random selection.

There has been a rash of bootleg Viggo CDs on ebay. The money is just so tempting and there seems to be a climate of looking the other way on ebay and -- hell -- everywhere. The "Flesh" soundtrack is owned by the movie company that put it out. They always have -- and still do, as far as I know  -- planned on releasing it as a soundtrack. I\'m sure they are waiting to sell off the current pressing of the movie and feel that a soundtrack CD might hurt the movie\'s sales. I\'m just guessing but that\'s the feeling I get. I hate copy protection or encryption; it only hurts people who have fair-use rights. I don\'t really even have a problem with file sharing: To some extent I think it can be good for artists, but I do worry about a mind set that rationalizes that you should never have to pay for music.  I hope the market and the technologies find a working balance that allows for the fair use of digital arts yet allows for the artists and those who invest in them (as opposed to those who exploit artists) to make enough to continue to do so.  I find myself on the fence about the issue.  I\'m as excited as anyone about the whole networking revolution, but as an artist it\'s frustrating to put out a record like "Axiology" independently and having it not come close to covering its production costs and seeing it on trading networks everywhere.  I\'m happy people like it enough to distribute it, but I may have a hard time pressing another record. I remain optimistic, but worried a bit at the same time.
There is a big difference between selling bootlegs and file sharing out of print music but as I have spoken about here  just because something is out of print doesn\'t mean the artist doesn\'t deserve  your consideration ( see my artist support page).

No That music is copyrighted.  There does seem to be some idea floating around that if something is currently out of print or not being distributed it  is fair game, but this material is copyrighted just the same and it\'s illegal  to copy or redistribute without an agreement from the copyright holder. People interested in finding copyrights holders should contact the Harry Fox Agency who control copyright management.

No sorry, I\'ll post any news as soon as I have it.

Where did you hear 2007? My understanding is an arrangement is being worked on for right now. Although my information is based on speculation as much as anyones.

I believe the company that\'s releasing the DVD agreed to let Buckethead take a few DVD\'s out on the road with him for his fans but for the time being until a pending distribution deal is finalized I don\'t think I\'ll be able to get any. I\'m going to try but we sure don\'t want to do anything to jeopardize the pending agreement of the party\'s involved and add to any more that it is humanly possible that is, the excruciating, mind numbing delays we\'ve seen so far seeing this thing released.

I was hoping to have this out long ago. It\'s a collection he\'s been working on here and there for years and everyone who ever see it loves it so I thought I would have have it printed and offer it here. There was a bit of sticker shock when I got some quotes for a book of color prints. At the moment I\'m working on a black and white version and consider putting together a PDF version for download. Hope to have it soon. Glad you liked them.

It was never meant to be the name of a band but the name of a project based on the poem title.

I think after the second record their contract was up at Warner. I know they were talking about doing an independent CD but I think the guys went their separate ways before it happened. Someone else may know more about what they are doing now and if so I hope they will chime in.

Thanks to all who have contributed, your response and generosity are truly heartening.  I suspect somewhere between, " downloading and file sharing have cost the music industry 50 percent of it\'s revenues" and "people who download weren\'t going to buy the music anyway" lies the truth.  Music networking seems a bit like FM album rock was when it first came along. The music business put up a hugh fuss but in the end FM was responsible for creating the behemoth music industry that was up till recent years what it was. I think the music business\'s problems have more to do with corporate greed than they do with file sharing. The music business was at it best when music fan\'s ran it, we are far from that now. I do think there is a glimmer of hope that the digital age has empowered musicians and music fans to run the music business again and we have to just wait and see if innovation can as it has in the past comes along with a working model for the business of music. It just seems as we kind of all take part in the shaping of the new digital arts age we be mindful of the people who are responsible for there being any kind of business, the artists.

The music download store seems to have produced some interesting observations by some. One of the most interesting is a frank discussion I have been having with a young man who wrote me quite sincerely I think, why he should pay for downloads of music that is out of print when it can be had free easily enough.  Firstly, thank you for your opinion if your reading this, I found your observations well thought out and I understand your point of view. I think this person feelings are shared by many and I wanted to publish my thoughts from the artists perspective.
This page is one more piece of the artist support puzzle I hope to tie together soon.  If your interested you will find it here.
