Messages - spencer

I\'m celebrating my christmas eve by listening to an early gift: Axiology!

What a coincidence!
ooo, autographed, neato!

(hiding jealousy)  ;)

Really cool stuff though, the autographs, and the MUSIC!

are you 9 or something spencer?  8)

Just a very immature 15 year old.  but i like it that way.  i\'ve got a couple more years before the world turns rotten in my perspective, and that\'s way better than most people my age.
i don\'t know if that\'s a joke or something, but if it isn\'t, allow me to retort:

My mom may spoil me, but my dad counteracts that by being extremely harsh to me and my illusions of grandeur.

Well, not harsh, but he makes sure i\'m grateful and stuff.  you know.
So it kinda balances itself.
Quoteyou\'ve got a cool mom, spencer!  i send a big hi to her!

meanwhile, back to the Deli Creeps - CM you are so right - they can play the peeps pretty damn well!

She gets a lotta "hi"s from the online crowd.  She\'s a very spoiling mom, she\'ll do anything if it means i\'d be happy.  hell, she drove me to two different venues just so i could possibly meet buckethead.  the one time we actually saw him live, she came home right after work, and drove up to anaheim from san diego!

PRetty cool if ya ask me.
thanks for the advice gkg, but my mom\'s fine with me buying it, she just doesn\'t like it.

Hell, my mom paid for the tickets for the past four R rated movies my friends and i went to, one of them being saw.  she say them as well.  so you know, she knows i have good judgement.
Ok, i know he sings, but the part where he yells and just talks  about killing toddlers, you know, pretty much the beginning thing?  that made my mom said no.
she just doesn\'t like I\'m gonna get some and Can I have a ride, actually, cuz he doesn\'t sing then, he just talks about killing toddlers and sex.
well, considering you\'re on this board, i\'m guessing you\'re not like my mom.  she digs the deli creeps music but just doesn\'t like Bob.  oh well, i\'m sure he\'s one of those people that really surprise you in real life.

Also, Bob\'s voice is great.  listen to Bend Up, you\'ll see.
I met buckethead about a month or so ago i think, and i could\'ve asked, "what\'s up with secret recipe?"  but i didn\'t.  cuz i freeze up.  hell, i didn\'t even ask him about the midiverb and stuff.  i felt silly.  but then i remembered he\'d probably just wave his hands around and get frustrated that he couldn\'t talk.  but either way, it would\'ve been neat to ask.

this one guy explained to me the inflation that occured because of sales methods involving guitar equipment, and you know what?  it made me really sad.

Anyways, i still don\'t find digitech appealing, aside from the whammy.  it just seems like they\'re second rate boss effects with a "morph" switch which makes them crappier and more costly.  :-\\

Thats Because Digitech is not a crap Guitar-FX brand at all, There Acutally one of the best Brand you can get, apart from Boss.

And I think it\'s Just the Digitech Wammy Pedel That Buckethead uses.

The Whammy is the only thing i\'ve heard that they put out that i really like.  the pedals all rub me the wrong way when i play them (what the hell is a morph knob?  all it does is make them sound shitty!), and my little effects processor has muddy sounds and a broken footpedal.  I\'ll take Boss and DOD over Digitech every day dude.  Heck, the 40 dollar distortion pedal from Boss is (IMO) better than anything digitech puts up besides the whammy.

QuoteIf I remember right on The first Thanatopsis he was using a Digitec pedal of some kind for some of the recording.

Buckethead never ceases to amaze me in the fact that he takes the CRAPPIEST effects and makes wonderful wonderful noise outta them.

I really don\'t like digitech.

I do however dig DOD and Boss stuff, which i see buckethead uses.  I\'m kinda upset he has a delay pedal though, i like the midiverb stuff :)

speaking of stompboxes, do you have any pics of Buckethead\'s stompboxes when he\'s recording straight through?  considering i have a terrible mic right now, i\'m thinkin of recording straight through.... as soon as my audio interface starts working :-\\

Awesome stuff. I\'ve heard nothing but good things.

I did do my usual stand outside of the venue and give buckethead a gift routine, which worked out well.  I told Les I really like the music, and he brought buckethead out to sign my effects stuff.  I saw Bernie and Brain walking around but i didn\'t know what to say to them.  Maybe next time (if there is going to be one).

I also got to watch part of soundcheck until i was kicked out by the club\'s proprietors.  I was kinda upset with the tone they used with my and my mother (that\'s the part that sucks the most), but i guess it\'s their job.

I do however know that the Giant Robot toy I gave Buckethead has been resting on his amp every show afterward, so I guess I\'m there in spirit through that little hunk of vinyl.

Either way, cool report, and thanks for thinking of me.
