I\'ve posted this elsewhere on the internet, but I just wanted to share this with you guys, even though I\'m a newbie to the board, but not The Buckethead Experience. This is how it affected me, so forgive the emotion (sniff).
It was like waking up after a long long spell of non-interest due to the cookie-cutter bands that have been playing in the current mainstream. Was just listening to Beatles cuts randomly, no real interest in picking up any new music-heard lots of it coming from my son\'s room. Then a little over 2 years ago, a friend burned some tunes from "this guy who wears a KFC bucket and plastic mask" when he plays. Oh boy, nice gimmick. Then, like many before me, Welcome To Bucketheadland entered my ear canals. Then, Binge And Grab. Who is this guy? More research, damn, he has a large catalogue of music! It became an obsession- and this is from a guy with a family and mortgage payments.
Fast forward 2 years-now have dropped large coin on a file cabinet full of only Buckethead. The initial first 6 months there was nothing else playing in my car CD player, nothing! I wasn\'t a just a blank-eyed working stiff supporting my family anymore! I got back into a band again, remembering that oh yeah, that\'s right, I\'m a musician, it\'s ingrained into my soul, and it\'s come back to life! I\'ll tell you, there were some depressing moments in my life when I got into Buckethead, and somehow his music entered my life at just the right time. When I was feeling down or feeling life\'s pressure bearing down on me, I would put on Buckethead and feel better immediately. Somehow, things would work out. And you know what? They did! My life took a major turn for the better, I met some awesome friends who shared the same interest, saw some great shows, and have spread the word! I really owe Buckethead a great debt of gratitude, as he doesn\'t know how much he has impacted this particular fan\'s life. I am forever grateful.

Finding Buckethead\'s music is the first part of the journey and it has no end...Buckethead\'s magic certainly hits deep...and happy headstump me....when you feel more than you think.
He has reignited interests I\'ve always had and has introduced me to new....he has pushed me further from the inside than I ever thought would be possible...many wonderful adventures...traveling solo.
It\'s ok if people don\'t understand... I\'m lost and loving it in Bucketheadland.
I repeat myself many times...I can never thank Buckethead enough for his genuine kindness, generosity and being the amazing and wonderful psycho and musical genius that he is....

yes, we can never take our heroes and what we learn from them for granted. after all, they become a part of you. but most of all remember, it\'s you. it\'s all about you and your own truth, so once you find it, like Buckethead said, "you could be in store for the greatest journey you could ever imagine."
sometimes stuff gets hard and you forget to imagine. Buckethead is a wonderful reminder to stay disembodied - where good things follow and then spread naturally.
and see Eggman? you\'ve already moved from having tough times to inspiring others, just by opening up and sharing how you feel :)

I know the feeling that you\'ve gone through, it\'s such a fun time. Discovering a band or artist, hearing it, then listening to it, then bonding to it and getting "sucked in", as my buddy refers to it.
It\'s especially awesome when you start to see just how much music this band or artist has made. It\'s like you can\'t absorb it fast enough.
On a personal note, this happed to me in high school with Rush. I was a full-on metalhead back in the day, in junior high. But I always liked Rush, ya know, Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves, stuff I heard on the radio.
Then one day I heard "Subdivisions" on the radio, I bought the "Signals" cassette from The Wherehouse (reallllly showing my age here) and at first, listened to just that track. Then started to listening to that first side ("sides", more age), then the whole album, then BAM!--yer hooked.
Such a great experience when you can go and buy a "new" record from your favorite band every month for a year. Their music really helped me get through some typical teenage stuff and helped me open my mind to lots of different kinds of music.
Years later, same thing happened to me with Big B. A head first dive into release after release, so many great offerings to choose from. Someone new can get into Bucket and be off on a journey for years.
Artists as prolific, talented, unselfish and full of uncompromising integrity as Buckethead are rare indeed, and a gift to all who have the guts to see through and look beyond the mask and bucket.
Thx to you and your story, but most of all, thank you Buckethead. It\'s obvious others feel the same way.
And to think I was actually considering deleting the post because I thought it was too personal-you guys have proved me wrong. Glad to be able to share those feelings with you :)

i\'m not the most articulate person but since i started listening to buckethead about 8 years ago (monsters and robots) i havn\'t strayed far other than finding out about jonas hellborg and some other incredible artists that bucket has worked with.
never drab always different and now i built a collection that is always in my audio circulation

Buckethead is one of my influences in life and guitar playing. Opened me up and made me not afraid to play my very own style of music. Also amped me up to pump out my guitar demos. Hopefully recording 4 tracks this year!
