QuoteExcellent!  ;D

Quick question for Travis in reference to album three.

When the Holiday LE was purchased, the regular edition was to be offered to purchasers of this LE for half price by using our invoice.

Is this offer still valid at the Buckethead Pikes KIOSK?

Thanks, Val

P.S. just curious, though in the end it will not make any difference, I bought the LE and I plan on also buying the official release.   :)

I sent an email to Pikes support and they responded today with: "We are looking into to this. Thanks for your patience. Buckethead Pikes Service"

where is this info?

stumpdangler is correct, I contacted the Support Team at Bucketheadpikes.com and their response was:

"Empty Space will be available on CD soon. Bucketheadpikes.com will be the only place online you can purchase the CD. The release date is to be determined. Also, all releases for this series will have both a physical and digital release".

Great news for those of us who prefer physical releases ;D

QuoteI\'m pretty sure you would ahve to download itunes to get it.  Hopefully there will be a physical copy soon though cause i will buy that too.

Empty Space is also available for download from Amazon:

Quotethird one\'s a charm!

Finally got my cd and it\'s zydeco music, looks like the park\'s press is on the fritz again. I\'m bummed cause I haven\'t heard these songs yet but am a little stoked to have a mutant cd. I just bought another one from pikes, gonna keep this oddity for the collection.

Third CD was a also a charm for me, finally received an actual copy of the Empty Space versus the Zydeco!  ;D

It would be fun to keep as a novelty in the my Buckethead collection. Buckethead Pikes are shipping me a correct copy, but they are also including a pre-paid envelop so I can return the original.  :P

Two for two, replacement CD has the same Cajun/Zydeco music  :\'(

But it came in an Empty Space CD sleeve? Weeeird.

Yes, the sleeve and the artwork on the CD were correct, just the wrong music pressed onto the CD.

I just got mine, my copy isn't actually Empty Space, but a Cajun/Zydeco album.  :o

I chuckled at first, thinking, wow, Buckethead is really stretching his musical horizons as the accordion kicked in.

Anybody else receive this sort of surprise?

The Residents site contains the following details:

http://residents.com/historical/page0/page12/page12.html

I found a reasonably priced "East Side Digital" ( 1988 ) version on the net yesterday, and decided to buy.

It is suppose to have the extra tracks, 50 total.  ;D

QuoteOnly standard, sorry, been searching for the anniversary edition myself. It comes with more packaging you say?

Some information that I have seen on the web for the anniversary edition "Commercial Album" released by Mute in   2004:

"Commercial Album (CDSTUMM243) comes in a CD size hardcover book illustrated with scenes from the Commercial DVD...The book also includes most of the lyrics and identifies the "secret appearances" by name - takes some of the fun of guessing out of it..."

I have not been able to find pictures of the release.

QuoteI love The Residents, have for a while, my favourite wedges are:

Commerical Album
Tunes Of Two Cities
The Ughs
Tweedles
Chuck\'s Ghost Music
Bunny Boy

Love them, fantastic music.

Hi ISOT, do you still own the "Commerical Album" CD, and if so, which version is it?

I have come across at least two CD versions on the Internet, a standard release (jewel case) and also 25th Anniversary Special Edition (hardback book, extra songs), but I have never seen an actual picture.

If you have the special edition, any chance of posting some pictures of the packaging? I am curious if the special is similiar to the mini-book packaging used on Tweedles and Animal Lover.

Duck Stab and MEET THE RESIDENTS are ( in my opinion ) perfect places to start. Do it.

I have been scanning some local music shops for Residents releases, and as expected, most don\'t carry them, but I was able to find used, mint copies of "Tweedles" and also "Animal Lover" at FYE for $17.50 for both, which appears to be a great price.  :)

These releases are very interesting musically, vocally and in concept. "Tweedles" took a couple of listens, very intense, to quote Frank Zappa, basically a "movie for your ears".

The packaging is amazing on both, mini-books, with artwork, story and lyrics. Even so, it will take some time to decipher the riddles & meaning (if any).
