Golden Eyes is good, but my heart lies with Look Up There. Great CD as a whole. :)

QuoteIm not bent over getting the labeled HH for half price, i like supporting TRDS, buckethead, etc. so i gladly purchased all 3 hoping for more collaborations Travis spoke about.

Thanks travis for everything you have done. You exceed your generosity greatly and i appreciate that.

Agreed. It\'s only a savings of $5. Totally worth it!

Thank you Travis! :)

I too ordered 4 and 5 but am waiting to hear from Travis.

Today has been horrible and this release just made everything better. "Look Up There" . . . *sigh* :)

I had my hands on a toy (actually looked like a movie?) but gave it to a younger boy (maybe 10 or so years old) next to me who was with his Dad.

I was more interested in just shaking Big B\'s hand but didn\'t get the opportunity, maybe next time. ;)

I saw Buckethead live at The Vic theater in Chicago on Sunday. . . I still haven\'t recovered.

I was in the front row!

Opening set was Wolff (electra tuba player.) http://www.wolffandtuba.com/ Honestly, it was pretty cool although I could have done without his singing in parts.

After 7 or so songs we had a 10-15 minute wait and then Big B came out. Of course, Night of the Slunk was the opening song.

(On that note, f anyone has the setlist for this show PLEASE post it.)

As usual, there was a toy give away and nun chucks. The show lasted roughly 1 hour 45 mins. I wish he\'d played longer but, judging from the sweat pouring out from under his mask and his diminished dance skills, he was pretty spent towards the end.

I can\'t wait to see him in concert again!

Amazing recap. I see Buckethead tomorrow in Chicago (my first time seeing him.) I hope my experience is half as good as yours. :)

Wow! Love it!

Wow... I\'m not familiar with Lawson Rollins but, from the samples on his site, any collab with Big B is sure to be incredible. I am VERY excited! :)

Tickets went on sale for the show in Chicago at 10am. As of 10:01am, I am the proud owner of my ticket! Will be the first time seeing Big B in concert!  :o

TDRS artists, music and related topics / Buckethead Heads
September 26, 2011, 11:13:35 pm
I\'m wondering if anyone knows what heads Big B is using on tour. (To me they looked like a Marshall JVM 410 and a Bogner Uberschall or Bogner XTC.)

Also curious if anyone knows if/when he switched between the two heads for certain songs (i.e. which songs he used which heads on.)

I agree in a sense (although clearly this isn\'t an absolute.)

Personally, I do not play an instrument or "know" anything about music per se but I LOVE (LOVE!) Buckethead. With that said, I am an artist and photographer. I think in some cases it is easier for those working in creative fields to accept and understand others who are creative. Those who don\'t flex their right brain often may tend to favor interests that challenge them less (as far as creative problem solving.) Although, music is very subjective and taste/aesthetic specific so it\'s really an individual/case-by-case basis.

Just my two cents.

I actually quite liked your recording and have listened to it a handful of times. Can\'t wait to hear more! :)

So. . . astral_traveler mentioned the song "malaguena" on another thread. I hadn\'t heard of it so I looked it up on YouTube where I then found that it was on From the Coop. I hadn\'t heard of that entire CD (I didn\'t start my discography in order.)

Re: From the Coop. . . I might be dead.  :o The recording is horrible and it was made over 20 years ago but I am completely in love. Disembodied Part 2 - holy shit!

It\'s a fantastic CD. A little 80\'s Satriani mixed with some Yngwie Malmsteen, Blues Saraceno, and a little Stuart Hamm with a whole lot of Buckethead.

I hope I never cease to be amazed by his talent!  ;D

Yay for resurrecting! ;D

It\'s been some time since I\'ve posted on this thread. Gotten a handful of albums since and am (so far) declaring Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot to be my favorite/the best Big B album and Tales of Dim Eden (off of The Dragons of Eden) to be my favorite/the best song.

With that said, I still need to get more albums like
Elephant Mans Alarm Clock, Cuckoo Clocks of Hell, Inbred Mountain, Albino Slug . . . ya, I\'ve got aways to go!

Hello Bots,

Just touching base. Sorry I\'ve been absent from the forums lately, my Mom actually passed away so things have been crazy round these parts.

Anyways, I\'m due to receive my first repayment CD (of the 5 I\'m owed) and I ended up choosing. . .

Shadows Between the Sky.

(Now I just need to hunt down a copy.)

I still have 4 more CD\'s coming my way. It\'s SO hard to choose!

;)
