Travis,
Any chance of a CD single or lossless download being released in the store?
I need to hear this track in a lossless format, and I\'m willing to pay for it, I\'m sure others would aswell.

CD Single = win
I need this song on some sort of loop that will play over and over.
Don\'t know what a lossless download is but, I too, would pay for that and/or CD single...
But, perhaps Buckethead doesn\'t want to use this as a money making endeavour...just something he did out of love and respect...

I don\'t know if you have an mp3 player, but if I want to listen to a track over and over...which I\'ve done in the past...I just play the song and set the thing on repeat track. I have a Creative Zen... not an iPod.
I\'ve just been listening to it at Bucketheadland...I was trying to see if I could save it somewhere but no luck (thought perhaps this wasn\'t \'allowable\'...); so, I just keep running back to the computer and hitting play...
ok, you can all laugh at my technical illiteracy...I am.
Rightclick -> Save Target as -> Receive Win, its perfectly legal, i mean - He put it on his website.
*edit* sorry thats not how it works...uhm well, i could mail it to you if you want to.

It\'s simple, you just right click, save target as and choose the directory. ::)

Maybe he will release an album with this song repeating 13 times... ;D It would be called "Tribute to Michael Jackson" and would only cost $15 at tdrs.
I will try all of your suggestions (though, I have "right clicked"...and several times, too)... ::)
Hey, I would buy that loop CD.
Jengamoose, I may just take you up on that offer...thx

Did you right click "The Homing Beacon" on top of the page?
OK...I wasn\'t right clicking that, but just did and it worked. Thanks to all for the tutorials. And thanks to Jengamoose for offering to send (check your PM\'s)...Now, if I can only figure out how to post a picture (yes, I went to image shack 8)...

A lossless file is a CD-quality audio file. MP3 files don\'t sound anywhere near as good - most of the data is discarded in the conversion. So if you think it sounds great now, a lossless version would sound even better :)
This song is so special that it warrants a hi-fi version imho.
Any chance of a FLAC Travis?

That would be good!
That would be the perfect one:

To post an image, upload it to image shack. Then copy the text where it says "Hotlinks for forums", just the top one. Then paste it in the message box.

I\'d take a high res FLAC file over vinyl, after all it was recorded digitally.

Sorry, but it looks like you totally missed the point. ;D

This was not produced here and it\'s not hosted by this site. I can\'t answer questions about how it will ultimately be released. At the moment it appears it is what it is, an mp3 tribute.
Travis, ever thought about releasing stuff on VinylDisc?

I don\'t know anything about the license costs or where they can be produced (I\'m afraid that may be only in Germany), but I think it would be a nice way to release some sort of E.P.

Travis, thanks for the clarification.

Yes it looks like I did miss the point. That is a very interesting format indeed.
