Dear Vince DiCola.

I was wondering if there are any new projects under way that you are currently working on. Some time ago you told me about some unused Transformers Material that might be launched on CD.

Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

Recently I've bought Vince's latest soundscape album, Asylum 9.
A magnificent piece of soundscape music. But I would like to know...
Who played the drums on this album, cause it isn't mentioned in the credits.

Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

Hello Vince.

The wait was long... but it was all worth it. Finally your latest creation, with the help and visions of Michael Fleischman reached my mailbox last Saturday. I was surprised that it arrived this fast. Just returing home from a hard day working on the build-up of a new Transformers Convention in the Netherlands, B.O.T.S. 2012, and finally I could feast my ears on a new chapter in your music career.

I must say at first I was surpised at the content of this album... it's dazzling, puzzling, question are coming forward like "What is going on here?". But then after a while, a form of logic vibes out of the speakers. Suddenly everything makes sence and it shows the creativity of this magnificent and epic album. Although being different from D.P.I., Thread, Rocky IV and all the Transformer albums, this album once again shows that you are one amazing Score writer and capable of making music fit perfectly for movies.

The entire theme of this album, sets the score in a weird kind of atmosphere. Each chapter of this album shows me rooms in a house where the sick of mind and the ill of spirits are being held for their and our protection... each song showing a different state of lunacy where the human mind is capable of taking us all to. Overjoyed, extreme hapiness, chilling scareness, completely deranged and just out of your mind kinda situations where a human being could loose all self controll.

I love this album, because of it's unique form. I've never heard anything like this before. And it's this uniform that makes this album another great addition to my collection of your music.

Vince DiCola... thank you very very much for making this album and I hope to hear more music from you in the future.

Niels Berndsen, Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands.

I\'ve got a question for Vince DiCola.

I\'ve been searching the net recently and came upon a very interesting piece of History from Vince. His entire work from 1983 (Juice Newton\'s Dirty Looks and Old Flame albums) up untill 2006 most recent release the New Jazz album D.P.I..

Within this text it is mentioned about some unreleased material of which I\'ve become very interested. As it is written...

In 1999, he recorded experimental and largely improvisational instrumental tracks under the name of The Firing Squad. These recordings remain unreleased.

Vince... will this recording still be released. Although seeing I\'m the only one who\'s probably writing about it, I don\'t think that an album would be produced only once. I know what ammount of money and effort that would cost... but still... I would like to ask, cause I\'m very interested in this.

Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

Hey everyone.

I\'ve been paying allot of visits to this site and I\'ve noticed allot of new albums being brought out from Buckethead.

But I was wondering if anyone can tell me the progress on the new album Vince is making?

Can anyone give me some heads up on the project?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all, Niels.

This is a question for Vince. I\'ve seen lately on the internet several pictures from the recording sessions for the Gran Turismo Prologue Soundtrack with "The Square" (Japanese Jazz-Fusion band) and also a couple of Youtube video clips from "Invasion of the Machines".

I\'ve noticed allot... allot of equipment in both video clips and studio footage. What I would like to know if there is an instrument that is your most favourite and also why this is your most favourite instrument.

Thank you very much in advance.

Niels.

A Short question to Vince.

How was the BotCon 2009 Concert going?
11
Just found a video of Vince DiCola at the BOTCON 1997.

The show starts with the beginning of the movie, "unicron\'s Theme".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpTzWNDzUaY

Followed by "Attack on the Shuttle".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8jf-u6BVu0

and with Stan Bush performing "Love Don\'t Lie"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oubHc4IFROg

The quality of this video is quit good.

Plus another video of that same Convention in 1997. But this time Vince\'s special version of "The Death of Optimus Prime".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bokzjaw7-zs

Plus another video of Vince Performing "Training Montage". This video shows Vince introducing his fellow musicians to the public.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsGgRBQMnyA

Finally I\'m seeing Vince play live. Well... Live it sadly ain\'t, gosh I wish I could\'ve been there.

And here\'s one of the most popular ones of that Convention.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO0UroYVNJQ

And the one Vince wrote to get the producers of the Transformers movie to hire him to write the score.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSrwwzMx3KY

But Vince explains it himself... in a very very funny way.

I\'ve got a question for Vince DiCola.

Since I came to know TDRSmusic.com and Vince DiCola, I\'ve been collecting for so far almost every record there is in the shop from Vince.

Though I\'ve noticed something about several pieces of music, that made me very curious to know more about a certain piece... or better said certain part of those songs.

The part that I mean is within the song "Concerto" on the "In Vince Ible" Album, from time marker 02:22 till 03:15... it\'s in the song "A.P.B." from the album "Falling off a Cleff...", time marker 03:15 till 04:15, It\'s also in the song the "Hidden Track" of the CD "The Protoform Sessions" Time Marker 09:20 till 10:22. If I may missed out some other songs, where this perticular part of music is hidden, please let me know.

I would love to know the story behind this very rapid part of chords, arpeggio\'s and scale\'s. Seeing.... better said, hearing that this part seems to be within several songs, I can only guess that this piece holds a very special meaning.

Vince I hope to learn the secret of this piece. Thanks in advance and I\'ll be awaiting your latest release.

Hi everyone at TDRS Music.

I\'ve been offline for some time now, but I\'m back. Allot of thing have happend lately here, privately.

Anyway, I just saw the free download song by Vince DiCola called "Everyday is Haloween" and I downed it right away.

Well... this song really fits the Haloween theme. Weirdness, Wickedness, Minor notations and tones and a very funny lyric.

It\'s new, it\'s fresh and it\'s something I\'ve not expected to come from Vince Dicola. Not that this is bad... no way. It\'s a whole new chapter in his music genre. The drums are heavy and ROCKING!!! Of course the keyboard licks and solo\'s are always great. Personally the Hammond like organ sound fits the theme. The Therimin, played by Travis Dickerson, is an Instrument that I\'ve never heard of... could you please tell me what that is? Mister Meriedeth has got a magnificent Rocking part on this song... YEAH ROCK ON!!!!! 8) Uhm... did Jessica DiCola Clone herself? I\'m hearing more of her.   ::).... ;D LOL

Then are the lyrics... awesome funny. I\'m seeing Robbie Long in a count like costume if this song is being made into a videoclip. "Frankenstein in his underwear!?" ;D ;D The way these lines are said is perfect... This should be the new thriller song on Haloween, if you\'d ask me.

Well... to Vince DiCola, Robbie Long, Kenny Meriedeth, Travis Dickerson and Jessica DiCola... all I can say is that I love this song. It\'s Rocking and it\'s funny. That\'s what music is all about right?

With cheers and greetings, Niels.

Only a minute ago the world famous 24 hours of Le Mans has started with a huge crowd of fans all over the track and a large number of race cars in serveral classes.

But most surprisingly was that during the final part of the warming up, where all cars where following the safety car towards the starting grid, all over the track the song "War" from the "Rocky IV" movie by Vince DiCola was played, which made a very exiting and adrenaline pumped start. As soon as the Cars approached the starting line, the music went in it\'s beat section.

 ;D

Dear Vince.

Recently I\'ve bought from another site, thanks to a topic here about your contribution with T-Square on the Gran Turismo game, two albums, sadly only downloadable ones. I would\'ve rather had origional packaged version with booklet and all.

Anyway my question is about the Artistically Beatles album that you\'ve made. Who is the signer who sing\'s "Something" and "You never gave me your money"?

Greetings and cheers, Niels Berndsen, Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands

Hello Everyone.

I\'ve been out for a short time and I was wondering if there\'s any news about Vince DiCola\'s new album.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Travis.

I\'m not so sure if I\'m asking this question to the right person, but I\'ll try anyway.

This year there will be a large convention being held in the Netherlands, regarding the latest Transformer series. Since last year I\'ve been welcomed by the group of people who have made this convention into a huge succes with full support by Hasbro.

So far they\'ve had Neil Caplan, the Voice of Optimus Prime of the later Transformer series as a guest, but I was wondering if it would be possible to ask Vince DiCola... and above all what it would take for him to come all the way to the Netherlands... and of course if possible to perform his music to the fans.

Though I\'ve never asked a question like this before, I haven\'t got a clue what to do and what it would cost? Could you give me an indication or advise as to who I have to go to... perhaps Sony BMG... or something like that?

Thank you very much in advance.

Niels Berndsen, Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands.

Well... today I received a call from a HiFi store in Amsterdam, who where able to order the CD called "Truth 21 century" by a Japanese formation called T-Square. This album has got Vince DiCola on keyboard and Doane Perry on Drums. This was mentioned before on the topic \'new Vince DiCola material...  \' and man oh man... this album is solid as a rock. ;D

The folks at the HiFi store know about T-square and what kind of band it is and genre of music they make, so I explained to them why I wanted this album in perticular.  ;)

There was no doubt about it... normally it doesn\'t happen to me, but when I listened to this recording on my car stereo... I got shiffers all over my spine.

The first song called "Knight\'s song" is perfectly choosen to be number one... it\'s got a opening feeling to it, that makes it say "The show starts". A word of advise though... becarefull when playing the second song "Chase" while driving your car.... nuff said. Fast pased and up tempo with warm hammond like organ\'s in the background. The song Megalith has got this awesome intro with a major Arpegiated Synth section. This CD is full of the most energetic, dimensional, slow and up tempo songs with perfect sound.  :o

One thing is sad though.... that it was so difficult to find... cause this is one CD that belongs in the line of all of Vince\'s recording\'s for sure and I\'m willing to bet that the Vince\'s Fans out here would love to have this one in their collection.

Awesome work Vince... this album hit\'s the nail perfectly on the head... Whammo!!  8)

Vince... have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Seasons greetings to all at TDRS music.

Dear Travis.

I know that Vince is very busy on the new "Thread" album, but I would like to know if a release date has been mentioned on this new album.

Thank you very much in advance.
