The band, Five for Fighting, is generously donating $0.49 to Autism Speaks each time this video is viewed. The funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure. When you have a moment, please visit the link below to watch the video and pass it along. They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them to surpass this goal. I checked this with snopes and it is absolutely true.

General Discussion / I\'m bored
September 22, 2007, 03:05:56 am
Quotemine would be:  boredom says more about you than a lack of things to do.

I\'m soo bored!  Someone post something provocative we can talk about.  Anyone write good poetry or even bad poetry I\'m not picky.  A good story, funny joke, how about a piece of art?

General Discussion / Looking for a quote origin
January 16, 2007, 02:32:38 am
Someone I know has thrown down the gauntlet and now I have to play.

Does any one out there know the origins of this quote: "I am who am."

I am pretty sure it isn\'t the bible "I am who I am" or "I am that I am" depending on translation.
And, I'm pretty sure it isn't Popeye "I yam what I yam."
Finally, I am not so sure the guy just got the quote wrong.

Thanks for your time even if you don't know.

I need help finding new headphones.  It became painfully obvious as I waded through miles and miles of the internet super highway, that I have no idea what I am looking for or at - impedance, ohm, driver - WHAT?  So, being a fairly intelligent being I thought: why not ask people who know a little something about music...

I like the privacy of earbuds, but they fall out too easily.  Love clip on's, however the privacy issue.  It is hard to listen to Liz Phair's Flower on a headphone that shares your musical stylings with the home owner who currently has the radio tuned to contemporary Christian, (not so sure they are not trying to save my soul.)  They also can't be so private I can't hear someone enter a room, so headphones that surround the entire ear are out.  Durability is a good thing; my last set pulled apart at the wire split.

I own an I-pod.  I listen roughly eight hours a day.  Sound quality a must.  I would like to spend between $50.00 and $100.00.  Probably preferring the lower end, cause not guarantee they won't end up in a bucket of paint.

Thank you in advance for any help!
